I don't know where to post this, it's not very important, and it may be common knowledge...

I was looking through the top recruits for 2017 according to ESPN, and the number nine recruit (McDonald's All-American) has committed to Western Kentucky. He is a 6'11 center. If they can get a guy like that, can't we get a 4-star almost 7-footer one of these years?

you made me curious so i looked at their list. and holy...... if duke has 5 schollies to give for next year they could end up with 3,4,5,7 and 8. that would give them a player at each position.

WKU has a new coach, Rick Stansbury. He has a reputation of being an excellent recruiter. He's signed Robinson and several other top 100 players if I remember correctly.

Question for our recruiting guru. With the plethora of quality transfers and recruitment re-openings due to coaching changes that we see in college basketball these days would it be a good strategy to perhaps keep an scholarship available into the Spring signing period to perhaps provide more flexibility in be able to pursue some of these opportunities?

I suppose a lot of that would depend on what is available to you in the fall signing period. What you guys think?

I think that if Marshall has an opportunity to improve his roster he does, regardless of the scholarship situation.

Is WSU going after Pyle? I've seen the kid play a couple times and I think he could be like Baker. Kid is skinnier, but one heckuva player.

If any D1 teams are recruiting him currently then it's in the very early stages. I haven't seen a list or any type of mentions except for that many believe he will play at the Division 1 level. Courtside Films put together a couple highlights on Ben from yesterday. https://twitter.com/CourtsideFilms/s...99323960045573

This is what I need to know. We are aware we are and will be ranked in the top 10 or close for next Season preseason. We watched our Shocks at the last Dance along teams that played in the Final 4. We understand we have all of our top 10-11 rotation players returning plus 2 new fresh recruits signed and incoming. We have the Coaching Staff that can not only move the X's and O's but also really scout and prepare for our foes to come.

With all of that said, are we really geared up and fielding a squad that is going to be good enough for the Final 4? Is there a missing link, one more needed recruit for still sign soon that is a missing link to assure us we are Final 4 good on both sides of the floor? If we were to just sign one more player to help assure this narrative, what position would we possibly still address or is our status quo all we need? Just looking for opinions what ya'll think with the April signing period before us.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
