Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

As a newb to recruiting, I have 2 questions:
1. How does this 32# compare to other schools. My thoughts are that most schools cast a wide net and hope to land a substantially lower number. I ask because other are here are also curious what happens when an influx of commitments or LOI happen.
2. When can we reasonably expect to see commitments for the year of 18-19? LOI? (Guess that makes 3 questions.
Anyway, thank you all!

Just guessing, for every open scholarship, a high-major school would probably offer 4 to 5 players? Offers are much more visible at the high-major level, the lower into D1 you get, the more offers that probably go unnoticed.
A handful of kids might commit in June or July but then you'll start to see more in August and then September really heats up. Nike, Adidas and Under Armour hold their championships in the middle of July so a majority of players will take visits after that.

Sully takes a look at Shocker recruiting since the announcement to join the AAC.
Rivals' national basketball analyst Eric Bossi said he saw 3G and the Shocker assistants everywhere he went in the April evaluation period which included the main gyms with the big-name teams.
Corey Evans, another national analyst with Rivals, said Wichita State cast a wide net over the past couple of weeks.
There are 3 more evaluation periods between now and July. After that most players narrow their lists and schedule visits in advance of the November signing period.
They're (Wichita State) recruiting 10 Markis McDuffie's now Evans said....
WSU still pretty attentive to hard playing big men. They've remained true to their recruiting pitch of finding blue-collar guys.
