Evan Pflugradt ‏@EvPflu Wichita State has a lot of guards, but could send one newcomer to a prep school and add Spike Albrecht for a year. WSU could use a senior.

Hope this kid signs, cuz everyone jumping on the Connor being a point guard needs to have their meds recalibrated

I still get nervous thinking of how the team performed without a point last year. Quite average really. Of course, those were unseen circumstances.

This kid could help with depth at the very least. Nice assist to turnover ratio.

And we could also waste a scholarship on the hope that we have a player who is fully recovered and healthy but isn't. Some of this is like buying a used car - "Buyer Beware"

Choida is like Allen Merrill......the only thing he needs is a Tommy Bahama shirt and a camera......

With this thinking, we have two open scholarships, since we would be fools to roll the dice on Shamet and Reaves because they've both had surgeries in past year.

Purdue offered immediately following Albrecht's visit, and Indiana and Syracuse and Texas A&M are still in the mix. Can't believe we could add a tough, skilled, experienced player with this list and there are Shocker fans wringing hands because they bought a shitty Buick on craigslist once.

For my part, I'll trust the staff to assess his abilities and decide if he can help the team next year. It seems to have worked out rather well so far.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Spike Albrecht's father, Chuck, said #Purdue offered scholarship during official visit. May still visit Wichita State + Syracuse.

I'd take him if he wants to come play for Marshall. We need a proven point guard next year as a stop gap between Austin and Smith. Albrecht and Smith will obviously take some time to adjust to the Marshall system...but having 2 true point guards gives us a better chance to see who develops quicker. IMO...we're better off having 2 point guards than having just 1 point guard on the roster. I'm in on going hard after this Albrecht guy.
