    Literally or figuratively, 60?

Paul Wight put on 100 pounds after he left and became literally a monster, but as big as he was even while at WSU, he was never a figurative monster on the court.

Just remember, you can't teach height. Everything else is teachable.

Do we have any interest in this kid, or he in us?

There doesn't seem to be an answer to that question. The only inference that can be drawn is that we don't seem to be in on him early. Marshall seems to have the best reults where he is in on a player before that player blows up.

Picking up Reaves might open a living room door.

Vanover could be projecting as an early entrant in the NBA draft. If that's the case, Marshall will probably pursue other opportunities.

Yes, but it's one thing to teach -- it's another thing for the player to be able to learn. That's not to say that Vanover is necessarily incapable of learning whatever WSU has to teach; I don't pretend to know -- just that there's a difference between coaches coaching and players learning, and that some guys simply can't absorb the lessons and then translate them into effective basketball play.

WSUwatcher - Definitely literally, but I would have little to no objection to figuratively as well.

Actually, this young man as he presently is now is not one of these string bean tall kids who sometimes look like a good wind might blow them away. Just saying that with some more muscle and toning, he could be a real force, at his height, at the 5, both offensively and defensively, which we really have not had in some time.

Only three offers so far but he's a national top 25 kid for his class. Mechanics on his shot are just about flawless. Can you imagine being an opponent in high school and trying to defend a 7'2" guy shooting 3's?

I'd think 7'2" is tall enough and wouldn't need a bump.

                      Possibly he bumped his head.

7'4 kid headed to Memphis. AAC certainly likes it's centers tall.

Goodness. Too bad Tacko Fall will likely be gone from UCF and headed to the NBA by the time this guy comes to the conference. That would have been fun to watch. Hope he stays.

I'm not sure that would be that much of a battle. Tacko would have over 100 pounds on this kid.
