  • Maybe he's plan A, maybe not. This is the one I'd prefer, but I dunno nothing.

    • Sign Williams? Yes please. Finding a place with a good fit and available playing time in a solid Conference would be paramount for him. A Season to groom him as a Shocker would be a win-win for Williams and our Program IMO. You like a rim-protector that can score and rebound? If so, sign Williams? Yes, please. I will keep my toes and fingers crossed because my dream was for the Shocks sign both him and Willis last year.

The highlight film on this thread against big teams is just a taste of what will follow when exposed to ample playing time. San Diego St. Baylor, and WSU are an impressive list of possibilities and we will be in need of some solid big men to walk in here for 2018/19 and be ready to play. Whomever signs him will have a gem IMO. If he so chooses to stay at Oregon, the Ducks will dodge the bullet of losing a solid playa.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Of course this is predicated on Shamet and Duff returning for their Jr. and Sr. seasons. This would be reloading and not rebuilding.
Since we'll be in a better conference, I'd go with upgrading instead of reloading.

It woudln't surprise me that bringing in a graduate transfer or a Juco transfer for next year could be quite challenging considering the depth of experienced players that already is in place. And I don't think 3G is the kind to guarantee playing time to anyone. So most players who would be immediately eligible with 1 or 2 years of eligibility remaining might shy away from joining the Shocks.

            KBW would work out well.

            • Baylor, Oregon, and San Diego are each hosting another potential transfer. Might mean something, might not

              • Anymore scuttlebutt on this guy? Oregon signed McIntosh so I don't know if they have anymore scholarships or not. Baylor the same?

Oregon still has 2 scholarships left without Kavell. Rumor is that he is staying at Oregon and would likely be the starter at center for the Ducks if he did. McIntosh and Kavell really don't play the same position so that likely doesn't have much impact on his decision.

                        • We ended up with a 2018 Fr CG and LSU got the 1-year player who uses 2 years of scholarships guy.

Don't get me wrong, I would have gladly taken Kavell and been thrilled, but a highly-recruited 4-year CG is a pretty decent tradeoff. Probably puts the need for JuCo bigs up to 2 for 2018.l
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Who is the CG we got instead of Kavell?
