Forevershocker, I too was impressed with his play at the national Juco tourney in Hutch. Would love to have him. Started the season behind Boucher a top Sr. & had to play behind him one season. Have to get the playing time to produce.

Think he is wise to look into playing in a more post oriented offense. Maybe watching Dana coach the Korver family for so long makes me feel that his system is more three ball oriented.

Seems to be a chance we are interested in him.

I can confirm WSU stiil interested:

"Kavell Bigby-Williams (6-11 sophomore, Oregon): The Aztecs nearly got the athletic post from England a year ago out of Gillette College
in northern Wyoming. He picked the Ducks but rarely got off the bench playing behind incumbent bigs Jordan Bell and Chris Boucher.
He became a more regular part of the rotation after Boucher tore his ACL in the Pac-12 tournament and was part of the Final Four run.
Because he already redshirted, he’d sit next season and have only one year of eligibility remaining (a two-for-one, in recruiting parlance).
The Aztecs, however, can offer extended playing time with little competition,
something the other two schools he’s visiting – Wichita State and Baylor – might not."

Conaidering he would sit next year and play the year after, there will be plenty of minutes for a big man.

I seem to recall we've been pretty successful with a previous Oregon transfer.

We need a serviceable big to play this year. A Lufile level player would be fantastic.

I agree with this. We got exposed a few times last year on the glass because of size, or lack of.

At his very best he is no three-headed monster.

What is this supposed to mean. He is very good! He is not very good? How do you know without the young man stepping foot on the Shocker hardwood floor other than when he was on a recruiting trip? I am generally optimistic & think the coaches make quality offers.

Players currently on the roster who are taller than 6'5" and will be here for the '18-'19 season

                              Markis McDuffie

Players known to be entering the program prior to '18-'19 who are taller than 5'11"

                              Asbjorn Mitgaard

Not much room for foul problems unless Marshall knows of an effective 5-guard offense. The 3-headed monster could rack up 14 fouls and still have someone legitimately playing center on the court.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

That is true but I hope he develops into a great piece of our rotation quickly. We all know this is a Sr. frontcort group that is leaving after this year. Would be a great get to bring in Williams to learn the system and then play the following year. Definitely aware of the need for more players upfront that can come in & contribute right away.
