Barnes would be a huge get. 2018 is possibly Marshall's most important class yet.

Israel finished as the third leading scorer in the state for the regular season (28.3 PPG). Tyler Brown from VC was first (29.4 PPG). https://twitter.com/WichitaSEHS/stat...53539307560964

Barnes Fr year would be the Jr years for Shamet, Reaves, and Keyser. If he's willing to come off the bench behind that group that would say a lot about his desire and willingness to play Marshall's style where his individual stats and court time wouldn't be his main objective.

If he wants to be an impact player as a Fr, WSU isn't going to look real attractive.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

The only sure thing you listed is Shamet. I like the other players too but they still have to prove themselves. Austin has possible chronic shoulder problems. Keyser may be more of a 3 than combo guard. Barnes may be more important f a combo guard. I'm sure that Gregg will play the best players.

That being said, any guard has to succumb to Ggg's system or he won't recruit them and they won't be a Shocker. I don't know Israel and won't listen to rumors about what people think about him because I've heard so many negatives about Conner and none of those totally out of line comments have turned out to be true.

Boy that's saying something there. From the outside looking in, it appears Conner is as good a team player as you'd ever want. He's exceeded even my expectations, and if you go back and look, I think you'll find my expectations were fairly lofty, to say the least.

If anything, they are begging him to be more. Yet he just keeps getting better, and being a better teammate.

No. His only offer is from Tulsa.

If this kid is not going to be a lottery pick, he should take any Ivy offer. Ivy degree is just too valuable to pass up.

Correct. He will be "offered" through various financial aid opportunities since it's an Ivy League school. No shame in that.

Essentially double what most expensive Kansas schools charge.

Is the Ivy League degree worth the extra 100k for the 4 year degree?

I'd probably take it. But you have to wonder how much a kid like this would be able to take advantage of his Ivy League education. If you have someone doing your homework and you miss class constantly, it probably isn't worth it at all.
