Find it intriguing how much thought has been put into this thread despite the program never even having any reported interest in Barnes. Yes he is a very talented scorer, but Barnes himself has said he wouldn't be a good fit in the program. I've watched him play several times and I have never thought he looked to be the model of player Marshall looks for. Relies too heavily on iso, not exceptionally talented defensively, average height for his position, etc

I would attribute that largely to the fact that he is a local kid.

According to 247Sports he has offers from Penn, Texas Tech, Tulsa and Weber State.

According to Verbal Commits he has offers from Tulsa, Weber State, UAB and Valparaiso. The latter two in the last month per Israel's twitter account.

Their associate HC grew up in Sterling, KS and was an assistant at Hutch CC. I'm not surprised to see them snag a Kansas kid.

Barns is in the transfer portal. As a SO for Weber St avg'd 12mpg and 3ppg. But as a FR played 24.5mpg, scoring 6.5ppg.
