What's your point? So you want to wait and see. I'm pretty sure that's what all of us will be doing. Although some of us will obviously be doing it with more optimism than you will. And it's doubtful anyone will be coming back here saying "I told you so" if he does well. I'm not so sure that will be the case if he has any struggles.

It may have been reported on The Drive yesterday (his coach)but I heard somewhere that Austin is the 2nd rated recruit in Arkansas this year. The top rated recruit us going to Kentucky.

I don't think I've seen any of the "wait and see" group ever come on here with an "I told you so" attitude. Taking a "wait and see" attitude does not mean that person is not optimistic.

I'm actually ridiculously optimistic about Reaves, but I'm not going to name him an All-Valley player, or even a starter as a Soph or Jr until I see how his game works in a D1 environment. There are very, very many outstanding HS players who are never able to put their game into a successful D1 career at any level, let alone the level that WSU is at now.

Plus they will have offcial practices with the coaches prior to the trip. I cant see how he would be going prep if he practices with the coaching staff.

My point is that I choose to wait and see. At the beginning of the season I had hype for several of the incoming freshman based on their high school achievements. . Including Ty Taylor he didn't make it. Same thing the year before and it included Rian Holland. There are 13 scholarship player but we will not at least I doubt we have s 13 man rotation. Not playing could POSSIBLY lead to someone moving on. So I'll just wait and see how it pans out. I'm not negative I have high hopes for all the players but I doubt they all play and I doubt that they all will be happy about it. Recruits are young men who don't always do their due diligence to see how they might fit on the teams that recruit them. sinetimes they like what they see and what they are told. I'll use Mychal Mulder as an example. I'm fairly sure he would have found playing time at WSU. could have played some 2and some 3 which means that Mc duffie could have played more minutes at the 4. And Fred and Ron could have possibly got a few more minutes rest. But he decided to go to Kentucky simply because it was Kentucky and ended up riding the bench. One can only wonder if he checked out their current roster and tried to predict where and if he fit in.
