  • Smith looks to be in the same statistical ballpark as Ragland was: comparable scorer, not quite as good at steals or a/TO ratio, but significantly better rebounder. Not sure about relative minutes per game to refine the comparison more, or the relative size of their teammates or coaching style, either of which could affect rebounding.

In any case, that's not a bad statistical ballpark to be in.

You never can tell about juco minutes per game but the NCAA shows him at 32 minutes per game. That's 3rd in the nation.

          • Those assist to turnover numbers look something we'd see at Maryland. Hopefully that's mostly a product of his system and something that HC3G will be able to get under control.

              • Either something's missing or I'm not seeing it (which is certainly also possible), im4 -- who / what are you comparing?

The titles keep not showing up on three tries, but the left-hand numbers are all games and the right-hand numbers are conference games. Not real excited with the dropoff between the two.

Watched one half of one game and been watching his stats and had the same concern.

Does your finger fumble count as a turnover?

                          • Daishon had 20 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists (against 3 turnovers) in a 100-97 OT road loss last night. He hit a three-pointer (4-10 from three) in the last minute of regulation to put TCC up two, but then, with the score tied and seconds on the clock, missed two free throws that would have won the game. TCC needs to win one of their remaining two games to clinch a berth in the NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA State Tournament.

                            • TCC won Sat. and are through to the Region tournament. DS filled the stat sheet with 20 points (9-10 from FT line), 7 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists (2 turnovers) plus 5 fouls and a blocked shot. He was only 1-7 from three point range. They're off until Sat. for a game at second-place NW Florida State.
