Unimpressive stats last year. Without knowing anything about the team he was playing on, that might not mean anything. In some JuCos, after the PG passes the ball, he will never touch it again. He might touch it if the time clock is running down. That might explain a low 3-pt. %.

Do I recall right that he's gone for 25 and 18 in 2 games this year? Maybe a different environment (school) fits his game better. Marshall looked at him when he was hurt. Others probably looked at him at the same time. That might explain the lack of decent offers.

Somebody Marshall trusts must have bent Marshall's ear, or Marshall probably doesn't give him a second look. The second look led to a very quick official visit, offer, and commitment. That tends to indicate a "can't miss" guy.

I don't just assume that every guy Marshall signs is either great or an under the radar guy that everyone else missed on. Derail Green, Ri'an Holland, and Corey Henderson were swings and misses.

I love Gregg's philosophy of being guard heavy, especially at the point. He has learned the hard way in this regard. I am now on board with Diashon after learning about the total recruiting process. We know, in general, the successful teams at the NCAA tournament have superior guard play. Our Shockers are poised to do very well this year, as well as in the future in getting deep in the dance.
