Sounds like a prototypical Marshall guy.

Emmitt Holt was a late addition to the freshman class but turned out to be a key reserve along the Hoosier front line in his first season in Bloomington.

      Season averages

      Points: 3.6
      Points: 15, vs. Pitt, 12/2/14
      Rebounds: 3.0
      Rebounds: 12, vs. Maryland, 3/13/15
      Assists: 0.2

      FG%: 65.0 Minutes: 25, vs. Maryland, 3/13/15
      FT%: 54.0%

      Minutes: 11.4
      Games played: 29

Best game(s): In Indiana's Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal loss to Maryland, Holt saw a career high 25 minutes and responded with six points and set career highs with 12 rebound and three blocks. Flashed early potential with 15 points in just 15 minutes on 6-for-6 shooting in December 2nd win over Pittsburgh.

Best attributes: Under the basket instincts. Very good at sensing defenders and finding ways to finish inside. Shows a real nose for the ball.

Biggest areas of needed improvement: Defense. Holt had some key blocks but like most freshman, he struggled with his decision making on defense. He also could use a more reliable mid-range shot and obviously 54 percent on free throws has to be improved upon.

Numbers worth knowing: If he'd played 30 minutes per game his rebounding average would translate up to 7.8 per game.

Comments: Holt was a pleasant surprise and plays much taller than his height, which is important as he's probably no taller than 6-foot-6 without shoes. Went through a lot with the Devin Davis incident and handled it with great maturity. If he can improve his defense he should contend for a starting spot across the front line in 2016-17.

Holt was a foul machine in our game with the Hoosiers last spring.

I suspect Forbes and potentially Marshall will get a lot more out of Indiana recruits than, well, Indiana.
