@WstateU posted this article in Anton's thread showing the Shocker's interest. He deserves a thread even if the info is over a year old. In case you need a brief catch up, he played in Greece last year but it's believed he wants to be in D-1 in '15-'16. Not much on the web about his recent recruitment other than North Carolina's coach going to Greece to see him a couple of weeks ago.

Chris Mullins of St Johns also went to see him.

I visited via messages with a basketball writer in Greece. George won't make a decision on what he is going to do until after their version of AAU/EYBL ball is over which will be around the first week of June.

He said the suitors are numerous.....one small thing we have going for us is the large population of Orthodox Christians here including several churches. Not making this up. :).

I would consider this a longshot just because of all of the variables, but holy cripes this would be a roof raiser especially if we have another stud big man rolling onto campus at the same time.

That's interesting! My experience with European Christians is that they are few in number, but extremely devout. Finding a like minded community is extremely important.

Not to be picky, but I think I found that information.
          I think someone quoted me.

I thought I'd finally lost it and didn't recall posting the link.

Well how about this? We could find a way to get Issac in here for next Season. Then we bring Georgios in for the following Season? Don't ask me about ships because I am only dreaming.

Georgios has graduated. Isaac still has a year of high school left.

Okay, we will flip-flop my logic still again. It works for me either way.

I know several Greeks in Wichita. One is a very close friend. The Greek community here is tight. Very tight.

I attend a couple of Greek celebrations every year. It seems I always see the same faces. Nothing is better than a Greek buffet, where all of the ladies are trying to out do the others.

If we persuade a visit, a Greek escort would be wise and helpful.

If we were to persuade another big guy to come here for 15-16 (and, subsequently, have the scholarship counters' heads explode), it's much more likely to be this guy than Humphries.

Is he 7'0" or 7'1"? Most of the web pages I've looked at say he's 7'1".
