I have no idea if Anton is coming here. I do think it's wrong to "eliminate" him based on the content of that tweet. You are saying there is 0% chance he decided early and scheduled an announcement date. I disagree.

I suppose we will see how it all plays out.
I'm saying he is coming here and what better way to make the weekend better then to beat KU out of a recruit.... Let's go drink at twin peaks Saturday!!!☺☺

I realize that. And if that is the case, I think it's silly.

The flip side is that maybe he hasn't decided yet and still chooses WSU, in which case we can presume that Russo was either mistaken or "let down easy".

With it being a graduate transfer, I'm assuming he has to receive permission from his school to go to the school he is transferring to. He may have told WSU that he wants to come here, then filed the paperwork, but is waiting to announce it until its a done deal (which may have happened today, so he set up an announcement date, or he has been told to expect the approval by Friday).

This is just another of 190812308120381209 possibilities.

I've heard him referred to as a "below the rim" player. I don't know how true that is.

He already received his release, so there's nothing official keeping him from announcing. Had he not received his release, other schools could not have contacted him yet.

For the record, I'm not declaring he is or isn't coming, has or hasn't committed. I'm just trying to connect the dots based on facts and reasonable speculation.

I'd consider Carl Hall a "below the rim" player but that didn't stop him from being highly effective.
If you're not going to go all the way, why go?

Isn't there two parts to it though? There is a release, but don't they have to also approve the school they are transferring to? So they can try to block them transferring to a conference rival or something?

I believe he is now mostly a "below the rim" player, as a result of 3 knee surgeries. Apparently that tends to take the springs out a bit.

Being a "below the rim" player beats being a "below the belt" player. That's for sure...

Way to keep your wits about you there, dizzle. Keep calm and head for the medicine or liquor cabinet, whichever works better for you.

By the way, I agree with ShoxFan7 that Carl Hall was mostly a below the rim player -- but he was indeed extremely effective inside, even though a little smaller than Grady is (maybe he had a little more spring, though), and he could certainly dunk as required.

But he still can still score in many ways and is good rebounder. He could play the 5 or 4. If he plays the 4 it would probably move a lot of Evan's minutes to the 3. I think we get him and it will be a great addition. We should be a very good perimeter shooting team and with Grady's minutes on the inside, it will keep defenses honest.

If you know and have an open communication line to Jack Schitt, he will tell you.
