I'm betting if they're having seasonal weather in Minneapolis that it won't be so hot. A number of years ago, I flew up to Minneapolis for business and left a day early to go scout Lake Mille Lacs. The lake is about 60-70 miles north of Minneapolis. It was the last weekend in April (just like today).

Only the margins at the edge of the lake had thawed enough to eliminate the ice cap over the lake. The first 50 yards or so were water, and then the rest of it was ice, as far as the eye could see.

We had a couple of days that week that I would classify as brutal (but I'm from Houston). Mid to high 40's during the day, upper 20's at night. It only got over 60 once that week. As a comparison, we're supposed to be 91 today (a little warmer than usual, but you get my point).
