  • As good as FVV and Baker are at feeding the rock inside, you would think that alone would attract another very solid big man or more to our Program for next Season. Playing for WSU sure would not stop such a player for joining us for a deep run at the Dance. Even if your were a one and done player or even a 4 star, why not team up with the best backcourt in College basketball next Season? I bet we do sign a 4 or 5 and adding Mulder would not hurt my feelers. However, even if we just went with what we have right now, the Shocks would still be very impressive next Season. Most of our bigs are still young and all developing as players do here year in and year out. I still think Nurger will get stronger and much better at rebounding and defense. He already can drain the 3's better than most Centers. As Subgod22 used to say, "I'm not worried."

Would it be greedy of me to either want us to still sign a big or two or a big and Mr. Mulder? Yes, that would leave us crowded at some slots next Season but also better equip us to face the music when Baker and FVV graduate for the following Season. For now, I will keep shaving every solitary day, knowing we will be finer than a frog hair when the dust settles and summer draweth nigh when our squad will start training for still another su-weet and productive Season to come. Looking back at the Shockers record breaking Seasons leaves us elated. Looking forward at what is yet to come is very promising. Oct. will be here before we know it and we have much to look forward to.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.

Just a guess, but I think our conference affiliation is a killer. I know it is a detriment, but in some cases, I believe it is a killer

I wasn't scratching my head that he didn't choose us. I never thought we were in the mix. I'm just surprised he chose Illinois. I guess if he's happy that's what's important.

It can be, but anyone who knows basketball knows the MVC is tougher than the P5 would like you to think.

I honestly think MVC is better then the big 12.... Their best team is 4-1 against us over the last decade

                        Strike that, reverse it.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Sure, the P5 would like you to think that the MVC is a crappy little one bid league full of no name schools with 3rd rate players. The P5 would like you to think that way about every league outside the P5. We know better.

I'm not saying the MVC is anything special or that it will someday be thought of as "high major", but its a decent middle of the road league.

Why should WSU's MVC affiliation be any more of a detriment than (Gonzaga's) membership in the WCC is? They get some name guys; it's just a matter of the right circumstances. Plus, if WSU really wants Grujic from South Kent, mentioned above, who's reportedly visiting Stephen F. Austin -- and I don't know if the Shocks do or not; but if they do -- the MVC is a big step UP in leagues.

                            • Does anyone know if we are in on Christopher Broucher? I want this guy. I feel this is the guy we need. I feel he can make an immediate impact. Plugging him in at the 4 would give us great length downlow and a legit scoring threat. He has more experience than any high school guy we could get. Even if we we some how are able to pull in a one done like Thon Maker, those guys are very unproven. I actually just read an article the other day that said maker isn't ready to make an impact. He looked lost at a recent one of the recent academies. We need a guy that can come in and immediately make an impact in the front court. I feel Broucher is our guy

At this point...I consider us on the verge of taking over gonzaga... Except they get bigger name schools to schedule them
