Here's some stuff on Grujic from New England Recruiting Report:

Before reclassification, he was only rated the 5th best prospect in Connecticut for 2016, behind two of his teammates in that same class. Bump him up to 2015 and his state ranking would likely be even lower.

I haven't seen him play (but I've included a full game YouTube below that maybe I'll have time to watch this weekend), but he doesn't sound like the type of player who is going to come in and contribute next year. Perhaps he blossomed late in the season, who knows.

Yeah but every time you passed him the ball it would knock him down.

            That would be a downside.

Part of me would want another big... But we have the horses in the stable to ride right now.... But I think most are uneasy about whether they can be counted on....Shaq, Kelly, Hamilton, Nurger, MCDuffie, Bush.... That's quite a stable already.... But totally understand why some want another big... But having a PG... Similar to Armstead would help

Here's the real question , try to land a talented big to improve our chances for next year or land a talented guard to help sure up holes we will have after next season?

                  Or both?

Stay tuned to find out! :)

I may be in the minority but I want a rent a senior. We will be in on some studs next year, I can guarantee it, so tying up a Schollie at this point for best available should be for a most ready to contribute guy. Russo would be my next choice.

That is of course assuming we aren't in on Thon Maker or one of the other one and done players.

Now this is an idea I can get on board with!

I totally agree with this. I feel we go after a guy who can make an immediate impact (Transfer, 5th year senior, Juco stud, One and done) or we hold onto the scholarship till next year when we can potentially use it on a higher quality recruit than what is currently left.

                              • It's not unthinkable that we could get in on a lunker. How many schools are there where a one-and-done or two-and-done can go and play with 2 AA's in the backcourt?

One of those AA's may end up with the best A/TO ratio in the history of D1 ball since they started keeping the assists stat. The4re's no problem getting the ball into the hands of a power center.

The downside is that a quality big may not want to have to learn to play D in his one year of D1 ball.
