Not many teams are going to have a guard tandem comparable to JRS and CF on their walk-ons lineup. Throw in ZB and JW,and I like our chances. :)

I think he was originally thinking that there will be no scholarships available due to graduation. They should still be honored on senior night, however.

Kids willing to walk on, pay their way for 4/5 years, endure conditioning, dedicate themselves to the scout squad all for the love of being a Shocker absolutely deserve their moment in the sun.

Yeah, my inquiry did have two parts. One was rectified when reminded of Simon and Bush. Second is more interesting. We would theoretically have no scholarships unless there was attrition, which there always seems to be. Gregg always recruits.

We will know our new big's name this coming week. Heard tonight from someone who knows. I don't know who it will be, just that the waiting is nearly over. FWIW, same source also told me we moved into the top 5 for a top recruit replacing the flagship. I told him, "good, now go sign him!"

HCGM commented at the auction tonight that "we're getting ready to blow the roof off this place in the next week" when introducing coach Heiar and praising him for his tremendous recruiting efforts. I can't wait!

The top recruit doesn't have to decide for several months as he wont be eligible until December. Best part of it is that he won't require a scholarship.
