Really, shock -- who has Georgia and North Carolina? If it isn't Marshall, he needs to kick it up a notch, because whoever handles Georgia is leaving the South Carolina guy behind these past few seasons.

In fairness, Georgians Carl Hall and Tevin Glass were both jucos via NW Florida, but Cotton came straight out of high school, and if 3G is as competitive as he's reputed to be, I have to believe he doesn't want one of his assistants to outrecruit him.

I believe HCGM has NC. I thought Jans had Georgia/Florida. I imagine HCGM has special ties in the Carolinas, but he is a HC and has other things on his plate.

I believe it has more to do with connections. Who the recruiter knows that knows the player. It ends up being somewhat regional only because certain coaches have more connections in certain regions.
