When's Perry Ellis going to be in for his unofficial visit?

I figure that since he's reputed to be good in school he'll probably graduate this spring, and then be smart enough to want to come home and spend his senior year trying to reach the heights, so to speak, that he hoped for at KU but would have been better placed to achieve at WSU. So the Shocks need to leave room for him as a spring or summer 2015 signing.

My understanding is that Conner Frankamp was very close to doing just that this past year.

We know, it was overheard in the hot dog line at the baseball stadium. Hot Dog Gate, I believe was the term.

That was different from the info I got from a friend of the family. In the middle of last season Conner's dad confronted Bill Self and said that if Connor didn't start seeing the floor that he would transfer out after the spring semester. Inquiries were made, but ultimately Connor started getting PT. Just a footnote on Wichita kids and KU is all, but it was interesting.

It would take an incredible amount of entitlement to walk up to Bill Self and demand playing time. Hopefully, it was more of a conversation rather than a confrontation. If it was just a chat about getting Farmchamp into his best situation, which may or may not be at Chicken U, that is one thing, but if it was a "you better play my kid or he is LEAVING" type thing, that would be really lame...

IIRC, Frankamp was the only guy toward the end of the year who played worth a chit.

So did Connor go to KU to please his dad? Or is that what he wanted? He was already a good offensive player. Marshall could have made him a good defensive player, too.

Looks to be pretty nice. Clear with a slight chance of rain Saturday night. Highs mid 80s to low 90s. Humidity climbing throughout the weekend. So maybe a little warmer than normal for this time of year, but pretty much beautiful.
