What more can I say than hooray for Gregg Marshall and hooray for Shaka Smart. Two fantastic coaches who have built outstanding programs and have to this point stayed at their schools in spite of very enticing offers elsewhere. The have recruited young men who are outstanding basketball players as well as fine young men who represent their schools and communities well. Like many have already said, I'd love to have an annual game against them as well as against Creighton.

I'm far more interested in supporting our coach than in bashing other coaches in any way. I believe most coaches are trying to build their programs and hopefully in the right way. Naturally, there are bad apples, but we probably aren't in a position to know a lot about who the bad apples are. I just know that we have one of the best, both as a coach and as a citizen of our community.

This is a player that can make our rotation and a positive splash from jump street. I am very excited on Markis becoming a Shocker.
