Lame ~ Guess it's gonna take a few more undefeated seasons to actually land a true 4 star. Not that it matters or I'm worried. Just be cool to see a kid go against what his buddies and girlfriends think where he should go. Ahh well...

That already happened with Cle, and he certainly got the last laugh.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

I certainly wouldn't call Louisville a lame choice for this young man. Not the choice we hoped he would make but certainly not a lame one. We are doing very well with the kids we are getting and no reason to think that is going to change.

My biggest regret with losing out on Donovan is he looks like he could have aspired to be a very good candidate to replace Tekele. The search continues. Tekele certainly wasn't a 4-star but it might take a 4-star recruit to replace him (or maybe just another great job of evaluating upside, character and toughness by our coaching staff).

I'm talking about 4-star kids who were being recruited by the likes of Louisville, Kentucky, Michigan, etc. Like I said earlier though...I'm not worried about the talent were bringing in. It would just be real cool to win a recruiting battle for a kid who was being recruited hard by those types of high majors.

Would have been a huge get it appears...

Donovan Mitchell moved up on both rankings more than anyone in the class. The 6’4″ guard from Brewster Academy went from a 3-star to a 5-star prospect. Scout.com now has him as the 20th-best player and 247Sports.com has him as 28th-best player in the class.

Evan Daniels of Scout.com said of Mitchell’s jump in rankings:

The highest rated newcomer and biggest riser in the new batch of rankings was Donovan Mitchell. The 6-foot-3 strongly built guard went from unranked to No. 20 overall in the 2015 class. An impressive athlete, Mitchell is tough, physical, defends the ball well and showcased an improved jump shot this summer.
