Didn't I read that Faust has had his biggest impact as a defensive player? That would not have been anyone's description of Nick Wiggins.

He also appears to be willing to leave the east coast, which is good news. If Faust can defend reasonably close to as well as Cotton can, and can learn to shoot the three as well as Cotton does, at 6-6 he could make a HUGE impact for WSU. Maybe his former coach at Maryland could put in a good word for Wichita and what Marshall has been able to accomplish at this level.

Need to get mumdaddy engaged to find a way to fit him onto WSU's roster. Mum always has a couple of extra scholarships in his pocket.

He's gonna have to beat out FVV though, and that will be no easy task.

The only players in the Valley who stand a chance at beating out FVV are players on his team, scoring the buckets off of HIS assists.

It's kind of like anyone other than him receiving that award will be receiving it because of him.

            Cotton career: 3PT: 75/205 36.6% FG: 253/557 45.4%

My point is not that Faust isn't any good, rather that Tekele Cotton has been underrated his entire career. He's been labeled as a "defensive stopper" and people have forgotten to notice how good he has become offensively.

Faust would be here until after Tekele graduates so we don't need to compare but since you are comparing, if you look at Faust's video, he looks like he can shoot from 25 feet (way out) with some success and he looks like he may run straight ahead a little faster and may a little more creative in the full court game. Tekele is so smart and solid. His medium range out to 20 foot (3 pt. range) is very good and he doesn't force bad shots or try to create as much as Faust may. This is why he shoots at a high percentage. He doesn't take bad shots. Faust's long range game and 6'6 size for a wing won't make him a better college player but it may translate to the NBA with more success.

Whatever we do let's not overlook DC
I think he will be a beast this year.
I saw him play juco at the hutch national
He has a year under his belt and the system is learned
I also believe that TC is going to elevate his game even more. He will be the next Early this year
              And the beat goes on!

Faust might have been a nice addition to the Shocks, but it's tough when you have to sit out a year AND pay your own way. It takes special circumstances to get someone like that, and Malcolm Armstead situations are pretty rare.
