I'd be surprised if he cancelled his other 3 visits and committed this weekend. He may well be a Shocker, but I think he will take 3 or more of his officials.

How much does the absence of a football program negatively impact our BB recruiting? It seems many of the statements made by recruits focuses on seeing fan support during their visits. That's tough to see for WSU during Fall visits.

Shamet has seen at least one WSU basketball game in person. He has personally commented on the atmosphere for games and the fan support. Might be more of an issue for Roach, but this is nothing new and I'm sure our coaches know how to address it.

Exactly. At most of those schools the basketball program plays 2nd fiddle to football. Koch being on ESPN's top 10 basketball venues is a major selling point. One of the recruits last fall that went to a volleyball game tweeted about the fans lining up to get the basketball team's autographs (including the recruit's) stood out to him as how much WSU basketball is loved by its fans.
