-2007 – Chris Brown, Arbry Butler, J.T. Durley, Gal Mekel - J.T. had good career and Gal gave us some help and is now in the NBA
-2008 – Ramon Clemente, Aaron Ellis, Mantas Griskenas, A.J. Hawkins, Gabe Blair (transfer sit out), Graham Hatch, Denzel Bowles (released), Guy Alang Ntang (died), Evann Baker (released) - Also the other JC Transfer who backed out and moved on to Illinois State. Coach Marshall grabbed Ramon and Graham, (originally Turgeon recruits), and signed Aaron, Mantas, A.J. and Gabe late. Aaron, Gabe and Graham were part of the NIT Championship team (Graham was the NIT MVP).
-2009 - Reggie Chamberlain, Johnny Coy (dropped basketball for baseball), Clevin Hannah, David Kyles, Toure Murry, Garrett Stutz. Clevin, David, Toure and Garret were very successful for the Shox. Toure is in the NBA. Included among these players were an NIT championship and an NCAA Tournament.
-2010 – Jerome Hamilton, Kenny Manigault, Tyler Richardson, Demetric Williams. Demetric was extremely successful at WSU during an NIT championship, and 2 NCAA Tournaments including a Final Four. Saw Jerome recently at a WSU Ladies basketball game.
-2011 – Ehimen Orukpe, Joe Ragland, Ben Smith. (not many, but very successful. An NIT championship and 2 NCAA Tournaments including a Final Four among them.
-2012 – James Anacreon, Malcolm Armstead, Ron Baker, Tekele Cotton, Carl Hall, Evan Wessel, Jake White. Malcolm, Ron, Tekele, Carl, and Jake played in the Final Four.
-2013 – Kadeem Coleby, Cleanthony Early, Derail Green, Chadrack Lufile, Fred Van Vleet, Nick Wiggins, Henry Uwadiae (did not qualify), Deontee Hawkins (did not qualify). Cleanthony, Chadrack, Fred, Nick all played in the Final Four.
-2014 – D.J. Bowles, Darius Carter, Ria’n Holland, Shaquille Morris. D.J. will not play due to health issues. Ria'n and Shaquille are redshirts.
-2015 – Zach Brown, Corey Henderson, Rashard Kelly, Bush Wamukota, Eric Hamilton
How would you rank these classes? I love the 2008-2009 class with Clevin, David, Toure and Garrett. 2007-2008 was pretty amazing considering those who left, Guy who died, and the fact that Coach Marshall had to come up with players so late. His late recruits of Aaron and Gabe were especially helpful and Ramon and Graham staying after committing to Coach Turgeon were very helpful as well. Thankfully we got Demetric out of the 2009-2010 class. The 2010-2011 class was special. How about the great class of 2011-2012. 2012-2013 might be the best of all so far, but we still need to see about the 2013-2014 and I would not be surprised to see the 2014-2015 class among the very best. Probably the rightest ranked group of all time for WSU.
I'm excited. How about you?
