Repeating this question...can anybody confirm that Atwood ever attended a game at CKA? Never saw it confirmed here or anywhere else.

      • On February 22, Paul Suellentrop mentioned that he was expected to be in attendance with four others. On February 23 he said that 5 recruits and signee Rashard Kelly were at the game, and did not mention any no-shows, which is significant.

Honestly, if Atwood chooses to go elsewhere, it's probably best as I'm thinking he wouldn't have followed 3G's method of team play and wouldn't be as unselfish as Cle has been this season. If he does show up here (when's the soonest he can announce, at the end of the season? I seem to remember Darius committing right after the FF.), he's got a spot in the rotation at the 4, no doubt about it.
When I watched Willie play, I did not see anything that led me to believe he is a selfish player. Quite the opposite actually.

          • Does Atwood want to wait until he find out if someone here is not coming back before he makes his decision? If someone here doesn't come back, that might not be known until after the spring signing period. I suppose he could sign here, but if no one left, something would have to be fgiured out.

            • I would guess it's already figured out.

Possible, 1979; also possible that WSU is waiting to see what happens -- right now, as we all know, they're already at 13 scholarships for eligible returning players or signees in 2014-15 -- and that the Shocker offer isn't "committable" yet. Such offers are certainly not unheard of in the world of recruiting.

                • If Atwood does not come here, and Dear god I hope he does, we will go after another Juco big. Somebody is either leaving or not showing up, maybe two somebodys. Nobody will get a clarinet scholarship. This is business, not personal.

There are some unsigned 4* players out there. Not out of the question we could go after one of them in the late signing period.

                    • I really don't see any of the five incoming recruits (1Hamilton,2Kelly, 3Henderson, 4Brown, and 5Wamukota) leaving before they've even been here.

I also don't see the two redshirts (6Morris and 7Holland) leaving.

And I don't see any of the four probable starters for next year (8Baker, 9Cotton, 10VanVleet, and 11Carter) leaving.

That only leaves two players (12Wessel and 13Green).

I suppose anything is possible, but if one or more of the incoming recruits weren't coming, it would have been already known by now.

Always a possibility someone doesn't qualify academically, but a current player not returning is the more likely scenario.

Wessel being a contributor playing tough minutes and following in his grandfather's footsteps, I personally don't see him leaving. He averaged 12.4 minutes (ninth best on team) compared to Coleby's 12.9 (8th best). In the last 7 games, he's played 13, 16, 12, 14, 15, 14 and 10. If his shooting confidence returns, I can easily foresee this going to 18 per game.

Evan is also the 5th best rebounder, both on a per 40-minute basis and on a percentage of available rebounds captured, behind Lufile, Carter, Coleby and Early.

                              Looks very similar to Cle.

Looks like that leaves just one other player then.
