I need to watch the whole game but I did take in enough to give my opinion. I do want to qualify my analysis in that Juco BKB is very helter skelter to say the least and there are not alot of sets run. First Willie passes the eye test and clearly will be able to hold up to the physical play that Marshall wants. What stood out to me is that he is a scorer plain and simple. I was also impressed with his ball handling and was surprised that they used him to bring the ball up against a sagging press. His range does not appear to go all the way to 3 but it does look like he has the potential for a nice mid range game. He runs the court well especially going to the offensive end. He seemed less enthusiastic on the defensive side but then again this is juco ball. Marshall says that he looks for players that are long, athletic and want to be coached. He is clearly the first two and if he were to buy in he will be a very good get. I will try and watch the rest of the game.

My comments are given relative to his position.
1. He has a nice body. Reminds me of a tight end. I imagine his weight is around 225 to 230. Low body fat. I watched the first 30 minutes of the game and then I left. He played the entire 30 minutes. So I think he is pretty durable. He foot speed is at least average, if not above average. He runs the floor well.
2. His vertical leap is average. His lateral quickness is average. His dribble speed was hard to gage. In the backcourt, the Cowboys advanced the ball with three players. Willie , brought the ball in the center. The Mavericks, as mentioned above, sagged. So Willie was not tested on the dribble. Since his coach has Willie as the point, I imagine he has pretty good handles, particularly for a 4 man.
3. I think he will prove to be very versatile. While the 4 is probably his best position, I am sure he can play the 4 and 5 positions. Against certain opponents, he might be able to play some 3. I did not see enough to gage his passing and rebounding. He definitely can run the floor on the fast break.
4. I did not see Willie put up any 3 balls. Once he called for the ball and got it. He put up a turn around jumper from mid-range. He had a high release. His motion looked smooth and he shot it with confidence. The ball settled nicely in the net.
5. Willie is right handed. I do not recall any play action that would allow me to have an opinion about his off hand dribbling, scoring or shot blocking.
6. I admire his temperament. There is a certain coolness about him. The pace of the game could be described as helter skelter. There were a lot of wild shots, race horse basketball, rough play and uncalled fouls. Whoever had the ball, when the center court line was crossed, shot it. The Mavericks played a very aggressive zone. Once Willie had the *iss knocked out of him and down he went. It was an NFL play. Clearly Willie was not happy, but he held his cool. A foul was called on the play. Even though the play was ragged and rough on both ends, he seemed in control of his emotions and decisions.
7. I had no way of judging his work ethic, response to coaching or leadership, but given the number of universities, that are recruiting him, I suspect he does well in at least the first two of the three.
8. Willie is from Memphis, TN. I hope he does not want to play close to home.
9. I think he will be a fine player for the Shockers. Very fine.
10. I wonder what his season stats look like."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."
