I took his class and every time he had a question for the class he would look straight at me call me by name and ask me what I thought. That was the hardest "B" I ever worked for.
It was at HCC and the instructor's last name started with M, or maybe Mc. I can usually remember the name but am drawing a virtual blank now that I want to remember it.

In case you thought we were too late to the party, here is an article worth reading.
It starts with Hurt, then talks about Chandler.

"Meantime, 6-10 center Michael Chandler is now being courted by Arizona, Oregon, Memphis, Minnesota, Wichita State, ECU and Dayton, DeMeo said."

That's the same article Trop linked to when he started this thread 4 weeks ago.
"Hank Iba decided he wouldn't play my team anymore. He told me that if he tried to get his team ready to play me, it would upset his team the rest of the season." Gene Johnson, WU Basketball coach, 1928-1933.

          ripemupshocks,

I reposted it because someone earlier implied that we were late to the party.
The implication to me was that we weren't recruiting him while we were recruiting Hurt.

I wasn't saying that I found a new article from 2 months ago.

I think the late to the party comment was made because I don't think we were recruiting him before we landed Forbes and a number of other schools have been on him longer. That's how I took it anyway.

Bingo. We like to think that the earlier we get in on a kid the better shot we have (think FVV), but we try to dismiss this when we are the ones who are "late to the party". Although, every kid and every situation is different, I assume it is to our advantage to find 'em first and build that relationship.
