Given his background, he could no doubt use the extra playing time before trying to crack a D-1 lineup.

In any case, possibly good news for teams with openings in 2015 but not 2014, such as one local favorite. Maybe by 2015 I'll figure out how to say "Puou."

The Sunrise Prep team would seem like a good fit.

I was this young mans boss as well as the other 2 players from Sudan at Mooseheart. All 3 are exceptionally hard workers and love the game. It's pronounced Muh - Ker. One of the nicest polite kids I've ever met all 3 really. Mangisto is better suited as a guard or forward. The kid can drain from down town. Just goofing off in the gym after work he hit 26 in a row from around the arc. Man can they dunk.

Thanks for dropping by. is he one of those kids who had a story done last year about their path to the US?

I saw this pic on twitter the other day. It's Mooseheart players warming up. I love that they're playing on Bradley's court with those shirts!

I answered my own question by going back to the original post. Funny how that works!

Lol yes he is. Currently Mooseheart is in the final 4 for class A playing as I type last I saw MH was up 54 - 41 end of 3. He's been a monster last few games averaging like 26 points 15 rebounds 5 blocks. Most energetic and athletic kid on the floor.

They have a 6' 4 Jr guard who is very athletic and very good Hameed who actually dunked on nationally ranked Kansas recruit Cliff Alexander at a DePaul camp. He is from Nigeria but has been in the US since he was 2. I could see him playing Division 1 basketball as well. They have another Sudanese player who is 7'4 freshman who is sitting out this year but apparently is pretty good from what I hear.

When he worked for me in moosehearts Summer program he would leave throughout the day to go to the local community college to take school courses as well as English classes so he could learn our language faster. They just won the 1A state championship by 16.

Good to see a tweet about one of my favorites:

Vincennes sophomore center Makur Puou will take an official visit to New Orleans this weekend, per Indiana Elite coach Kristof Kendrick.
