Not a Point guard. Point guard + coaches son = high BB IQ.

Conn's basketball IQ was not his problem, unfortunately.

Was Conn a Point guard? Obviously his talent was lacking. But I'll take a talented, smart P.G. anytime.

And yes, monster -- Conn was certainly not a PG. More of an undersized PF.

Rick Conn was a linebacker, who was trying to play D-1 basketball.

As I recall, he was one of the early recruits by Coach Smithson II.

                      Well described, Ricky.

Rick was recruited by either Fogler or Cohen, but he played under the Cohen regime, along with his buddy KC Hunt.

                          Thanks. You are so correcto.

I was wrongo. According to the media guide, Rick played from 1989 to 1993. I am not sure of the reason that he is credited with five years of service. Maybe he reshirted for a year, but I do not remember such.

@Ricardo del Rio: it just SEEMED like 5 years, maybe more. He was a really good kid though, especially when compared to some others on those teams.

I believe that really represents 4 years RdR.

I thought as much, but other four year players were listed as '90-'93. Regardless, he was a four year player in the early 90s.
