    They counted different back then.

Coach’s son set to join Shockers

Wichita State is getting a coach’s son, which usually is good news. Corey Henderson Jr. plays point guard for his father at the Episcopal School of Dallas. He orally committed to WSU on Sunday and plans to sign in November.

Henderson (6-foot-3, 165 pounds) appears to follow in the usual footsteps of a coach’s son. He grew up around basketball (his father played at Texas A&M) and benefited from those experiences. His father started coaching him as a freshman at Episcopal.

While basketball fathers can pass on instincts and desire, playing for dad isn’t always easy, as generations of father-son combos can attest. Henderson said his father coached him harder than other players, especially early in his high school days.

            Sons of coaches: Reggie Smithson

I bet Kerry has Corey up to 195 by the time he gets 10+ mpg.

Per Suellentrop's twitter, WSU has 4 LOIs in hand.

Apparently ESD has a good lacrosse team.

I think Lacrosse is a sport you will see a lot of growth in. It's apparently a lot of fun to play and with parent's perhaps looking for alternatives to football for their kids Lacrosse might be an alternative. Saw some guys playing last summer across the street from Blessed Sacrament Church on Douglas. I talked with him a little bit and apparently they have a Lacrosse league in the area. He said they interest in Lacrosse was growing pretty rapidly. Not sure it will ever be a mainstream sport, at least not in my lifetime, but it does seem to be growing.

Great sport. My youngest son played years ago during the first season of Wichita Lacrosse. Would love to see Lacrosse at WSU.

                        Sorry about getting off subject.

Henderson appears to be a coaches son who is a smart, big/tall point guard who is versatile in all areas (passing, shooting, ball handling) just like Toure although more of a traditional point guard, built in the Marshall mold.

Very quiet 18 pts last night, except for for the last 2 buckets that sealed the deal. Well played CHJ.
For some the glass is half full and for others half empty. My glass is out of ice.
