Notice the size. Not too many 5-10s there.

He's also not targeting too many bigs, that is, anybody over 6-9.

Except for Jacob Hammond I can't remember anybody else (Haas excluded) over 6-9 with Shocker interest. Before our offer to Haas I was starting to think Henry U. might be the plan for a center, if any. Now I'm siding more to a juco might be in the works if we don't get Haas (which is the likely outcome). Adding Forbes to the staff certainly helped me have this thought.

Is there only one firm committment, Zach Brown, for '14?

Are you thinking you missed one?

If we had another commitment in the summer it would be front page news.

                  Another Prospect

I am thoroughly shocked & mystified that Shocker recruiting sleuths have not included a prospect I saw practicing with the team in an unsupervised practice around 2 mos ago at the Multipurpose Practice facility. There were 5 or 6 Shocker fans there that day & we even talked to the kids dad about him. The consensus of the group was that this kid looked pretty good, too. I thought this forum was the ultimate last word on all the players that WSU is recruiting along with a summary of who else is looking at them as well. The time I saw this kid was the same week that Cle left on Fri for the Durant camp. I think the practice where I saw him was on a Tues that week. Cle was raining in shots from all over the court apparently honing his skills before leaving for the Durant camp, but we already knew is good. The prospect was big & moved very well.

Well, why don't you tell us his name?

The thing about this forum is that people get on and post what they find out.

I'm not fiesty at heart but you can't make a post that mocks the great work of those who are posting like they failed by not seeing what you saw. If you saw something, believe me, it is welcome information. You are just as free to break news as anyone.

                        That was sarcastic I presume?

He's going to take his knowledge over to the Wheatshocker.com site so he can express his opinion freely. Now that is real sarcasm. :)

                            Center Prospect

I really just wanted to tease you guys a bit! The prospect is Bryce Cashman who lives in Westin, MO. It's right up the river from Kansas City & apparently a favorite tourist stop. Bryce is 6-10, 215. According to his dad, he was going to turn 17 the week after I saw him, & I also am pretty sure he will be a senior in high school for the 2013-14 year. 17 seems pretty young to be a high school senior though.

Kids with summer birthdays often turn 18 after graduating high school, if they weren't held out a year before starting school. There were several in my class.
