Bryce is 6-10, 215. According to his dad, he was going to turn 17 the week after I saw him, & I also am pretty sure he will be a senior in high school for the 2013-14 year. 17 seems pretty young to be a high school senior though.
Sorry I was being a tool. I guess I have been on edge lately.

      Center Prospect

In all fairness, I'm always amazed at how well Shocker fans figure out who is being recruited & tell us about it on this forum. It just goes to show you how truly passionate Shocker fans can be about our basketball team!

I have "cleaned up" the listing. Let me know if you don't like it, find errors, find omissions, or have other suggestions.

This list is starting to scare me. It is hard to spell champion with out a C.

Really starting not to like the list of bigs we have remaining. Not that they suck or anything, but it's thinning out and becoming a little less exciting. Lee may be the only homerun type left and the odds are insanely slim of him coming here.

Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.

Relax, kochHead. Marshall can spell, too. The Shocks already have a center for this coming year, and he's one that many people expect to be very good.

As for next year, recruiting is still well underway and will be for quite a while. (As I posted elsewhere, I also don't accept the notion of players being "off the board" as readily as some do -- I've seen too many players flip from one school to another in football recruiting.) Marshall is proven to be very good at recruiting, as is his staff, and Steve Forbes is supposed to be one of the best out there. Plus, in recent years there seems to have been an increasing number of eleventh-hour transfers of players (including graduates who want to play their last year somewhere else -- maybe a recent Final Four team that plays in front of a packed house every game, for example), some of whom could have a significant impact. Personally, I've watched a number of these guys go wherever and wished the Shocks had room to add them.

So one way or another, I have great faith in WSU's recruiting capabilities, and plenty of evidence to support my faith. Therefore, as the saying goes, I'm not worried

ShockTalk: Is Satchel Pierce '14 c 7-0 on your list? (Have we made an offer to him?)
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

It's true that Carl Hall was considered off the board to VCU before he signed here. But you don't hear of it happening in basketball very often.

Not that I've read. Just look at several sites, no offer yet.

Who'd have thunk it? Sub's more worried than I am. Guess I'm just a sunshine pumper, foolishly optimistic about a program with 86 wins in the last three years (an average of more than what was the school record season total until then), plus an NIT championship and a trip to the Final Four. Or maybe all that sunshine is shining brightly on the efforts of the guy and his (now new and improved) staff who have let the sun shine in -- sometimes by signing guys we barely even knew about -- and it's hard to be too pessimistic when it's this bright in here.

Except according to Hall, he never committed to VCU.

I'm sure it does happen more in football in basketball, simply because there are so many more recruits (roughly 25 signings per year per school). And because of my rooting interest, I see it happen every year in following the SEC, where they definitely give no quarter when it comes to recruiting, and the fat lady doesn't sing until she signs on the line (for example, one of Alabama's current starting offensive linemen, a coveted recruit, held a press conference ON SIGNING DAY and surprised many by announcing he was going to Auburn -- but he didn't sign the letter, and that night he came to his senses, swung back to Alabama instead, AND signed the letter).

                            The points remain true:

                            1. Nothing is over (or safe) until the signed letter shows up;
                            2. The best salesmen don't just walk away from the first "No," and most of all,
                            3. TIM -- Trust in Marshall.

Didn't want to make a new thread.

In the Rashard Kelly thread there is talk of this class making the shocks look more like the 80's than mixes of players of recent lore. I just want to throw this out there- this is not a starting lineup... yet.

                                PG- Henderson 6'3
                                SG- Zach Bush 6'7
                                SF- Kelly 6'7
                                PF- Hamilton 6'8
                                C- B dub 7'0

Once again, our conference will be the Valley of Death.
