I think a lean and wirey PF and sometimes a C can be just as effective as someone with more weight on them. Kevin Durant comes to mind ... lol
I tend to think of SFs as 6-4 to 6-7 and SGs as 6-1 to 6-5. Based on your expected height of a SG versus a SF there is no place in college basketball for a 6-5 player.

Yes, all the 6-5 guys play below D-1. (Well, all except Ben Smith.) That's probably also why Auburn listed Charles Barkley at 6-6 back in the day, even though he was actually just a shade under 6-5 -- no room for a 6-5 guy.

And PGs should be between 5-6 to 6-3, which is why Magic Johnson never played D1 or NBA. :)

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

My ideal point guard would be guys like Spud Webb, Calvin Murphy, and Calvin Bruton

I think a little height on a pg is a GOOD thing. Helps to see the floor better. But with that height they also need quickness. If I had to choose between the two attributes, I would choose the quickness.

The game is so physical today that a team needs some additional depth to a Spud Webb. But I hate to see so many people place boxes around players that they have to fit. Xavier would still be a great rebounder at 6'6" or 6'7" today and Spud would still be a great point.

I think we can all agree that all things being equal, more size is better. Size is not, however, the most important aspect of any player or team.

I have heard that size is overrated.

Why was the William Lee thread locked?

On second look at it, I see it was locked. I didn't think it was as I was able to post on it. I tried to unlock it on my phone but it said it was unsuccessful. However it shows it unlockd now.

It was locked yesterday, but became unlocked when Trop just posted his test post message

A little recap on our 2014 recruiting efforts.

We have 5 ships available for next year correct? 4 Seniors + DJ's slot.

We have 3 verbal commitments. Cory Henderson, Zachary Brown and Rashard Kelley.

Leaving us with 2 openings. Assuming I have that correct then what are the expectations for how we fills those two slots. I'm thinking 1 big and the best available. Or perhaps 1 HS big and 1 JC big? Perhaps even waiting until next spring's signing period to lock one or both of those spots up.

                            Thoughts?

That seems to be the most likely scenario, although the Jameel McKay situation could change that somewhat (or if he transfers to us, he could essentially be our JUCO big).
