I'm trying to stay as PC as I can, but the more times I come back here and read that effing comment, the more it pisses me off.

Let's give Preacher the benefit of the doubt and surmise that his sympathy for the downtrodden, which is a quality he and his fellow clergy are supposed to have, clouded his judgment.

But hopefully he'll discard the stereotypes before he posts next time. You can bet he wouldn't have said something similar about a situation in which a white kid was on the wrong end of the gun. which is why it would have been a good idea to think twice -- or more, if necessary -- before hitting the Reply button.

Color doesn't even enter into my mind but if I had ever walked into my daughter and someone else, I don't own a gun (I do own a baseball bat), but he would have running and limping out of my house, and then my daughter's life would have changed afterward too. Today's parent (some not all)may even invite that family interloper into the house to stay. (maybe I'm being too harsh)

I'll bet Swift was a human being, and that the guy that shot him was a human being, and that the families of both are human beings. And I'll bet that very few of us (including myself) know what those human beings are going through right now.

This is not directed at you @pinstripers: as I can see the sarcasm in your statement. It's the other ....... I should probably not come back to this thread any more as it just fires me up again every time I do.

I don't think the Dominicans have ever been known as stereotypers or race merchants, so you may want to rethink that post. Very disappointing.

Edit: By the way, I had Dominican nuns for a couple of years in grade school, so I've had some contact with the Order of Preachers.
I live in Houston and can confirm. Anything east of 288 all the way to 610 east, north of the Beltway and south of I-10.

Perhaps even thinking once should have been adequate.
