Agreed. Marshall can probably almost have his pick of guys lining up for that job. Our program is at a decently high point right now. Anyone who gets picked is going to have a really good case I bet. I have learned to basically expect success from Marshall. He has been fantastic.

Has anyone here ever said Coach Turner was a "bad hire" or didn't want him? I think several, including myself, were a little surprised by it. As for me, it had nothing to do with his connection to Eck, but his overall background experience. That certainly doesn't mean if HCGM wants him, I don't. I think the same is true by those concerned with his Eck background.

I think Coach Turner will be alright, and I trust Marshall's choice on this. I do think that hiring a young black coach might have been better for recruiting though, establishing communication and repoire with the recruiting candidates.
