Not finding a whole lot on him so far.

Saw this snippet in one article: Bamba is rated as Canada’s third best player is a 6’6 guard from Montreal (I am assuming that is in the Class of 2023).

6. Yanis Bamba. 6’6 SG. A good athlete, explosive in the open court and off of two feet. Powerful frame and pretty tight handle. A good defender with quick hands, who also uses his length and explosion to block shots. A nice jump shooter (good form and high release).

I get the feeling he will be somewhat of a raw prospect similar to Joy. Would not surprise me if both he and Joy redshirted in 2023-24. Although, that might not happen for Bamba if Ronnie Degray has to sit out. Definitely some potential to work with.

Impressive signing. For what it's worth...a good friend of mine who has played and coached in the Great White North while still "connected" tells me we got ourselves a REALLY good player. He thinks if the young man was playing in the states he would be rated a solid 4-star.

I think we have a "true and solid" PG. Cortes was playing behind a 5th year Sr who's now playing in the NBA summer league. What we don't have is a known backup. It's hard to recruit players out of the portal to be backups.
