I seem to remember several SN posters complain about the fact that KSU would start recruiting players after WSU was already working on them. So maybe this is their reasoning for keeping things on the low. It could also be that they know there will be some very good high school players that get left behind do to the portal.
I don't know their reasoning but it would be a good question for TE to ask.

I would suggest that, unless you are a major donor you go the email route. Probably the best chance of getting a response, although whatever inquiry you make should be presented in a repectful manner to improve your chances of getting a response.

I sent ADKS an email right after the HCPM introductory presser pointing out a mild faux pas he made and received a short, but nice, response.

Recruiting wise ; I pretty much only care about the quality of who we got once all scholarships are filled… the in between while can be exciting ; doesn’t really matter.
