If he transfers out, somebody will transfer in. It's a new day

Then just wait for the transfer in. They don't usually transfer out, especially if they lose a year of eligibility. I like this guy but the upside for "POTENTIAL" may be on the way out. He certainly might have a personality that is thankful for the faith in his talents that IB is showing.

I was just talking to a friend about him and we were both wondering if this wasn't a grab at potential with a RS being the route he takes. I hope that's the case, because I just don't see him getting much court time this season, though the potential for the future is there. He definitely has things to work with. Could definitely see him as a future stretch 4.

" ... He felt like his recruiting suffered because last season he only played three games at Loomis Chaffee, a prep school in Connecticut, due to the coronavirus pandemic. That was part of the reason why Abidde wanted to find a Division I home for this upcoming season if possible. ..."
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Ricks, Pohto and Abidde could make up a fairly salty front line, considering all 3 can hit from 3. We're set for signing some driving perimeter guys for 2022. IB is lining up a different on court look than we're used to seeing.

Those three look good for fall of 2023! Hopefully they stick around.

From reading Taylor's article, I believe that Coach felt like the potential was too good to pass on. The pandemic has offered some unique circumstances, in that a player like him stayed hidden because of the lack of games he was able to play. My guess is IB felt that with more exposure, there would be multiple higher profile programs on this kid and I need to get him into the fold now. That plus, the kid wanted to go somewhere this year and not wait until next.

Agreed. The fact that he was planning on going the prep school route may very indicate he might be open to a redshirt year. Perhaps HCIB convinced him he would be ahead of the game spending a redshirt year at WSU developing his game and his body and learning the system then he would playing a year of prep school ball.

Full game video of Isaac in the playoffs last spring.

I do like the idea of a 6'9 (I will say 220ish, but he appears to have a big frame that can pack 230 without blinking) type of player who can shoot it, is very athletic, can move, and block shots, and rebound at the 4 (but can play the 5). People have called him a "stretch" 4, but he sounds as close as we've come to another Antoine Carr TYPE of player in a long time. I don't know if he can become close to the "Big Dog" type of player, but maybe Brown found one that wasn't a Top 25 recruit which are difficult to land, and AC was a Top 25 Recruit. Markis McDuffie was the highest tall recruit (he wasn't close to an AC) I can recall, and he was Top 150 (maybe a little higher). Maybe IA is a "diamond in the rough."

We will see how much and how fast IA develops, but if he works hard, and becomes close to "that", no other player will keep him on the bench.

you took the words out of my mouth. Getting big, skilled power forwards has been one of our biggest weaknesses on the recruiting front. I just hope he's not another DeAntoni Gordon or Eric Hamilton type. If he will just stay here and let the staff develop his skills, he can be a force at this size and position.
