What does the age of my relatives have to do with anything?

        • Bumping in case anyone else needs a refresher on Ricks recruitment. He will surely command some minutes this year.
Shocker fan for life after witnessing my first game in person, the 80-74 win over the #12 Creighton Bluejays at the Kansas Coliseum.

          • Hope he is in the rotation. Dave Dahl mentioned that he is a lights out shooter. We will see.

            • Yeap I think he will be in the rotation somewhere. People forget about him and Abide because they redshirted last year. Both are very good players.. Ricks is listed at 6'7 with a 7ft wingspan and shot 39% from 3 point and 84% from free throw. Yikes 84%!!! So you know his stroke must be good. That video of him making 8 straight 3ponters at WSU during some shooting practice last year is impressive. Go Shocks.

7 out of the last 8 new players that were said to be lights out shooters turned out to be very much lights on.

                  • I'll bite and believe he is going to be darn good, so, right now with RC coming back I could see the starters as KP, RC, Ricks, Okafor and CP starting. RC, Okafor and Ricks should provide sufficient rebounding to help out KP. Rogers as a designated three point specialist with Rojas and Ballard in the mix. Potential is there for 20 w"s but right now I'll say 16-17 hopefully enough for NIT

True. But he still shot 39% from 3 point line at Oak Hill in games. And Oak Hill plays some of the toughest high-school competition and talent in the country. I am betting he will shoot good in games for WSU too. Go Shocks.

Very important to note that Ricks is coming from one of the best HS programs in the country. The guy has pedigree to go with his stats.

Yeap those kind of things matter. Its the small details that people sometimes seem to miss when judging a player. I like both Ricks and Pierre.

For example one thing I noticed about Pierre is that he ran cross-country in high-school. YIKES!!! Anybody that has the discipline to run 60 or more miles a week to get ready to run a 5K race gets my attention.. Don't hold me to it on my memory, but I think the last 3 players we had that ran cross-country was T. Murry, Matt B. and X.

PS. Anybody thinking Pierre is not good, needs to answer why Jans was recruiting him for Mississippi State. Go Shocks.
