Earl Watson to Rhode Island

A nice jump or hook shot is nice in the paint, but I have a feeling Sir Earl will be dunking a majority of his shots. And hopefully a majority of his "shots" will come from the line. Nothing like a player who has a knack for getting to the line. I think Earl will have a lot of and-1 opportunities in his near future as a Shocker.

You can't compare any Shocker coach's tenure in nearly three decades to what Marshall has already done. You have to combine multiple coach's tenures. Marshall absolutely blows away Turdgeon and Smithson Jr's recruiting combined. If you add in Cohen and Thompson, it actually devalues the entire body of work. So Marshall's recruiting thus far exceeds Turdgeon, Smithson Jr. and two other coaches that shall remain nameless. If HCGM's success in the win column gets even close to his success on the recruiting front... get your tickets now.

Yeah, I haven't been around for years. I tried to keep up with all the inside scoops, but didn't really visit the forum much. Ever since VT was killed, I have had less and less of an interest to contribute electronically. When I really get fired up (like I was when I discovered this thread), I need a couple of forums to spread my "thoughts" across. Too much CB in one place is not a good thing.

This looks like another solid 3-star maybe 4 depending on who he signed with. Size and athleticism weighs VERY heavily into Rival's ratings IMHO. This guy has both of those in spades!

Dammit! I just watched the video again and I'm really getting worked up....

We have had signings where the coach says "this guy plays above the rim", and when he got to WSU, it wasn't really so. This man DEFINITELY plays above the rim and gets there effortlessly. This guy has BCS oozing from his pores. Depending on his skill ceiling, he has the ups to make it to the NBA, no doubt about it.

Hey, Cold, if you're just now catching up on the story about Watson, you probably missed where Watson's HS coach claimed Watson had blocked 42 shots in one game. I thought I might mention that in case you needed a bit more fuel to pour on your fire for this guy.
