The most complete information about Columbia, SC's basketball player, Xavier McDaniel, Small Forward (2015) - including bio, recruiting, news and videos.

http://getmerecruited.com/Big_Shots_Columbia_Main.html Xavier McDaniel Jr (SC Elite 17/Hammond School, Columbia SC) 6’4 SF/PF 2015- If the name sounds familiar it’s because he bears the same name as his legendary NBA father, Xavier “X Man” McDaniel. Although he hasn’t quite got the handles his dad had, he definitely possesses the athleticism. His aggressiveness to follow shots ensures almost every game he’s dropping a few thunderous put-back dunks. The way he played above the rim made him an instant attraction and crowd favorite. He’s a small forward that will need to enhance his outside shot so teams won’t take away his ability to go to the basket hard which he can do now almost at will. He plays really good on-the-ball defense also. With a few improvements through hard work and training combined with a bloodline of NBA success, this kid should pan out as a good college prospect.

He's an undersized PF and not at the level we have recently been recruiting at, but I want him!

Here's a dunk contest posted a week ago. Jr is in the black, long sleeve shirt.

The other guy in that dunk contest is a 5* recruit noted mainly for his freakish athleticism. That said Little X looked to be pretty athletic in his own right.

Look at Zack Brown and his skills review compared to X Jr (of course X Jr has another year to improve). http://future150.com/hs/basketball-p...-brown-sg-2013

His father was an under the radar recruit... Found when the coaching staff was scouting a higher profile prospect (Tyrone Corbin).

For the 2015 class, won't we only have 2 schollies available? Cotton and Darius will be our only seniors, right? Pending someone else leaving.

Yup, could be looking at more than just two.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Here's an interview with Xavier McDaniel, Jr. talking about his dad. It would have been nice if we could have gotten him.

Don't confuse the name for the ability it takes to play here.
