According to what I was able to discern between the Klein Forest schedule and MaxPreps, Derail's first game is tonight against, I believe, Alief Hastings, out on the west side of Houston. I'm almost absolutely certain this is true, as I have went to the Houston Chronicle website and there was NO basketball game recaps for the year-to-date as of today.

The game against Cy Falls appears to have been an exhibition. Any reports of performance before tonight would be based on the practice game with Cy Falls, if anything.
The Republicans ... are having a hard time getting their members to act as a unit instead of like a bunch of six-year-olds playing anarchist soccer; three teams, two goals, you decide.

Article that includes a pic of Derail signing. :cowbell:

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

The older I get, the more satisfaction and enjoyment I get from seeing the kids and their parents enjoying the moment....and probably less the wins.

Congratulations young man. Enjoy your senior year then get ready for challenges and expectations that will test your character and lead you to new heights!

I agree. I was just thinking to myself how proud those parents must be. And they are probably most proud of the education he will get and the impact that will have on his future. I didn't used to think about those things, but every year my daughter gets older those are the thoughts that go through my head more and more.

The smiles on his parents face are as big as his is. It is great to be able share these types of moments with both parents given how few kids have both parents to guide them and share these events.

FWIW, with 2 exceptions, Turg's recruits had both parents, I believe. I have no idea what that means.

I'm not a doctor, but I'm pretty sure every recruit in the history of basketball had two parents.

                        +1!
(and +1 for the other parent, too)

                        Good call, BOBB.

Derail had 18 in opener vs. #13 Bryan in a 66-43 KF win. Had all 18 in the second half including 4 3's.
