Derail Green, a 6-7 forward at Klein Forest in Houston, Texas has just picked up offers from the Shockers and Detroit according to RCA Sports. According to TexasHoops he is a long, solid built, good athlete who can play out to 18 feet and has a good stroke from 3.

He is TexasHooops 33rd ranked player for 2012 and RCASorts 17th ranked 2012 player for the Houston area.

I heard that we would be talking to him this week, but didn't know it would be on our campus. Rivals has him down for the visit this weekend.

Although Rival's list him as a PF, got to believe we must be recruiting him as a 3. Looks like he can shoot it.

Derail is expected to make a decision soon. Like any day, or perhaps any minute soon. He has visited Wichita State (this last weekend) and Detroit. It's a toss up between the two schools. Live in Wichita or live in Detroit? Unless you're a great Pistons or Tigers or RedWings fan, this should be a no brainer.

I can see us trying to make room for Perry but I just don't see how we kick one of our players off the team for anything less. No offense to DeRail, but I like our team and would like to see the current players have a chance before signing additional players.
