Teddy initially wanted to go to CU and was dropped. He had numerous D! offers and will not be paying for college regardless where he goes. If NCAA doesn't clear him, he will go juco.

We don't know that he wanted to go to CU but they say that they decided to quit recruiting him because of his academics. He actually decided to visit CU late in the recruiting process because his PG friend was visiting there. It may have correlated to the fact that we stopped recruiting his PG friend following FVV. We don't know the extent of his interest but CU fans seem to think that they had him locked up and dropped him.

Anyway, didn't McLemore pay his own way at Northeastern University in Lawrence after he learned that he was a partial qualifier late in the process? He was eligible to practice and earn a scholarship during second semester (like a gray shirt) so it does happen. The most likely and best scenario may still be for Teddy to attend a prep school for a year if he's close to qualifying. No matter what happens, Teddy is a superior athlete who owns some very good skills and could be an excellent player down the road. I hope that he still makes it to Wichita.
