A JUCO center in '13, at this point, would be a wise move. Now, if they find a big or two before then that can be a factor, that could change.

Note that two others on the Charlotte Royals' roster have threads with us. I have 6-5 SG/SF Ivan Benkovic down as a heavy lean to Charlotte. With Van Vleet's commitment I doubt if PG Alex Wintering is a Shocker priority.

I also noticed that Brannen Greene has joined the Charlotte Royals this summer to increase his exposure (he said so in a tweet). He's a high-major 6'7" target of Duke and many others.

In his tweet he said he was playing with commits to Florida, VCU and WSU. Any idea who the VCU commit is?

True and I also saw a tweet from a baller who said the Royals were their toughest opponent. And that would be without Greene who I believe is a 5 star. The Royals will being playing in Orlando.

Yeah but S.Miss was also in a building phase, wasn't their coach newly hired? We were JUCO heavy our first couple years, and the last year or two picked up a few to fix the holes. I wouldn't look much into that, but then again Heiar has some of the strongest JUCO connections of anyone in D-1. I'm also from the school of thought that JUCO players aren't bad to get, even if its not a fill the gap year. Some of our better players in recent memory have been JUCO's or transfers. Ragland, Hannah, Blair, Clemente, and wasn't even Kyle Wilson a transfer?

I've always said to fill a need it's ok. If we only have a RS FR center on the roster, then a JUCO center may be necessary.

I have a lot of questions marks regarding this recruit, including does he really live up to the standard of recruit that we require nowdays?

I'm sure HCGM works his butt off to recruit sub standard. Cause ya know, that NIT banner satified his hunger. Now he can coast and can give good kids who can't ball a scholarship. God, why isn't he fired already? He can't recruit and he can't coach and there is no way he is a winner. Screw Marshall, Steve Eck is the only man for this job.
