He is rated as 46 but was 41 one or two months ago and I think he was rated 87 then.

Bottom line is that the kid SHOULD be a defensive monster that can run the floor with much smaller players. Put some muscle on him and teach him a drop step dunk and BAM!

From everything I've read about Henry, it's the opposite. He's EO with MORE upside. They say the kid is a natural, that he has a natural aggression for rebounding. He's only played ball competitively for like 2 years. From my understanding, EO played competitive games over in Africa. Henry didn't even play on a team that played games or had jerseys.

I haven't seen Henry play, but I was referring to ceiling based on height/strength/athleticism only. Perhaps Henry is more athletic than EO, but EO is EXTREMELY athletic. EO did play competitively in Africa...on parking lots with two "baskets." He did this for two years prior to graduating. Henry is similarly new to the game, but does have the benefit of American coaches.

if he doesnt have more upside than EO then this was a horrible signing. EO hasnt done anything for us on the court and I dont think he ever will be anything more than a player who eats up a few minutes for Hall and Stutz. Hope Im wrong but Im not impressed with EO

I'm not going to say NO WAY. The kid is VERY athletic and is very aggressive on the glass and shot blocking. Having more experience with the American style and coaching will also go a long way. I suspect he'll still redshirt next season, but could actually contibute as a FR as he'll be further along. I've heard nothing but good things about this kids upside. Big, strong and athletic and seems to already have a decent understanding of the game. Plus he works hard.

You could describe Ehimen much the same way, but with less familiarity with the American game and I'm not sure he had quite the understand of the game either. I would compare these two to each other with little hesitation in those regards and will expect Henry to have a much bigger impact as a whole. Granted, he'll have 5 years here to do it where Ehimen only got 3. But the upside on both is tremendous.

EO may be a complete bust, but his upside is higher than......can't think of anybody in Shocker history that high. Just semantics, I suppose.

I had the privelege of watching one of EO's first JUCO games. Comparing it to the video of Henry:

Henry > EO at the same point in their careers.

EO was VERY RAW and his BB IQ was not good. Henry appears to have a greater BB IQ but may not be the physical specimen that EO is.

I'm pretty excited to have both players as Shockers. I look for EO to improve and earn playing time this year. Next year we will see more of a finished product.

I look for Henry to RS his FR season and be an impact player earlier in his career.

But then again...what do I know, I thought the Chiefs would win yesterday against the Vikes.....wait a minute.

Just for discussion purpose, I'll say "Nay Nay". Upside and potential are two different things. Upside is more than just how athletic a person is. EO is a beast, athletically. On the other side of the equation, EO is a very intelligent young man. One would think that with this, plus his athletic potential, that he would be a fast learner. Sometimes it dosn't matter how much intelligence and/or how athletic a person is, if he is slow to put all this to use, his upside is limited.

Yes, I'm sure Ramon played street ball, but I believe he only played organized ball in HS for two years. However, in juco ball, he immediately put his skills to use. EO is entering his 4th year of college ball (including his red-shirt) and, many here, are concerned about how much time and effectiveness EO will provide as a backup to GS. To me, that doesn't scream upside. I hope he proves any and all doubters wrong and that this will be a big improvement year for him.

There wasn't a single guard that could make an pass to the post, nor did they even try. Ehimen spent his time trying to set screens for guards and forwards that didn't know where they were going, and discouraging the same on the defensive end. Just his presence alone changed the way the other team attacked the basket.

Henry seems more comfortable on the court, but it appears as if he fits into the system. I think Ehimen has had trouble adapting to the Marshall system, but he is definitely not the first. ANY player could have issues learning the system. Expecting any 1st year player to grasp it right away or any RS FR to be a significant contributor going forward I think is setting expectations to high, and I see that as a good thing.

Lets set the bar at GOOD and be suprised by better.

I don't disagree with you at all DTSB. The game we saw was after EO had redshirted for a year. I didn't get to see EO "pre-college" so there was some speculation on my part.
