“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'”

Last year Gabe averaged 6.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists, so he fills roughly the same hole.
Basically, he is a good rebounder who is capable of playing defense on the perimeter (which is important in the Valley with all the perimeter oriented 4s we see) and is a very good passer for a big man. He is the kind of guy that does a lot of little things to make a team better, which is why he is attracting interest from good teams who want a glue player."Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players

I've been against adding an additional big man this summer for the following reasons:
There wasn't anyone available that would be skilled enough to make an immediate impact.
You can't get a guy with D-I experience that doesn't have to sit out for 1 year.
Andre miracullously passes both of those criteria. He's a perfect fit for the 11-12 Shocker team.Livin the dream

The trip to Brazil could be an incentive that other schools can't offer.
Walker could easily be the starter early in the season while Hall adjusts to the D1 game. There's a decent fit for him at WSU.
Where does the schollie come from? Coaches need to win games to maintain their salaries. That ends up producing some results that may appear brutal to fans, but winning is the name of the game in D1 ball.
I can come up with a name that doesn't appear vital to WSU winning games in the next couple of years. Bringing in a Sr PG for '12-'13 might be a clue.
There could be a late non-renewal of a scholarship. Fans would hate it, but winning is the name of the game. If the coaching staff decides that a new signee is more likely to contribute to a winning season, a current player might get cut out. Other schools are doing it, so don't be surprised to see this at WSU.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

The only further information I received on Andre being here was that he was "pretty good". And the guy telling me this tends to say that about every player, except I carefully watch the tone of his voice. His tone didn't sound blown away, but also I've noticed his tone to indicate that someone was just 'ok'.
The way he said Andre was "pretty good" simply told me that he was decent. probably made a few really good plays during pick up but not alot of spectacular plays, which i think we all kind of assume at this point.
And his judgement comes from just a few measly pickup games.
So take ^that information for what it's worth = almost nothing.veni, vidi, vici
