I like this signing alot! Kid looks to be a "true" SF, something that most Valley schools will be lacking. He should have the athleticisim/quickness to hang with the 6-3 SF in the Valley and the strength to play with the more traditional BCS wings we see in the non-con and post-season. Marshall continues to put the Shockers together like a traditional top 25 team. 7-0 centers, 6-8 PF that rebound, 6-0 PGs, 6-4 SGs, and now the elusive 6-6 wing that might play a little PF if needed.

As deep as our team is, I think Ede adds a little different skill set.

I agree. I especially like that a 6'6" wing can help you match up both against top-25 competition that have size and athleticism at the 3 and the perimeter oriented 4s that you often see in the Valley. You aren't having to choose a player that only helps you in conference or out of conference.

He looks good now in the video. A year or two working with the S&C coach could make him a real force in the Valley. I'm happy we got him instead of the JC guy.

If "Ede" is short for his real name is Osamuede, wouldn't he be naturally called "Awesome Eddie"

A 6'6" SF with some hops who can ht from deep. A Fr with a year of prep school AFTER he graduated from HS. (One year of additional physical maturity). A guy with some NY attitude on the court, but probably not in his personality because he didn't grow up there. A guy who talked to Ramon Clemente during the recruiting process to get Ramon's input.

Could this be any better if ti were a Hollywood script?

Now if EO and Ede can talk to Gabe, maybe we can see a preview of the next Nigerian Olympic basketball team??

I'd love to see Wessel and Ede in practices. It looks like they both have a practice opponent who can take their game to another level. Those two could be scary good by the time they are Seniors.

Everything I've heard about Wessel indicates he's got a hard-nosed work horse attitude toward the game. (His Dad and his Grandpa also had that reputation.) Ede seems to have a bit of a X-Man or Ramon attitude. I wouldn't want to be another player in practices taking a few repetitions without full effort.

I think we have a lot of talent and good attitudes coming out of this recruiting class.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

So is Ede going to say to the upper classmen, 'Which one of you are going to sit on the bench?"

Marshall received the letter of intent from forward Ede Egharevba on Monday. “He’s got a multi-faceted game,” Marshall said. “He can shoot it. He can rebound. He can run the floor.”
