        • True but I don't think we will be so bad that we have to get rid of everybody. ;-)

I was thinking more along the lines of needing space for those 13 top-100 recruits that will be knocking down the doors of CKA over the next two years! :)

Make that 12. Gotta keep Fred.

Latest word is Marrero is not in Iowa's plans. I'm guessing but I think their problem with Marrero is he more of a undersized power forward. If they want an athletic wing, he probably isn't it.

                  • Aaron Ellis was an outstanding defender and had great quickness for his size. Ellis wasn't able to play SF because the typical opponent had a player that could beat him when Ellis was on D.

A 6'7" SF is a rare guy. It requires great handles, ability to shoot from some range, and the ability to defend shorter players who may be quicker.

I'm not convinced Thurman can be effective in the Valley as a SF. He's going to be up against some really quick 6'4" guys and he's going to be defended by guys who are closer to the floor than he is.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

                    • He needs to learn to give better effort on defense and rebounding but he can sure shoot it.

                        • Some people would bash their own mothers. :D

                          • Funny how we can "bash" (criticize aspects of a player's game) just about any recruit without backlash, until it's a local player.

For the record, I had the same evaluation after watching most of the first clip. Good shooter and athletic, but looked a little lazy on defense and the boards. Fortunately, those are correctable problems. But a guy his size playing SF in the Valley could be problematic. Still, I could see him getting a few minutes there as a combo-forward.

                                Well, that explains a lot!

A physician called into a radio show and said:
